The author was the surgeon of HMS Le Tigre and has produced lovely sketches of people and ports along the Palestine and Lebanese coasts. It was first produced in a folio version. Contemporary full morocco binding with a gilt scroll along the edges of both boards. Raised bands and elaborate gilt decoration on the spine. Gilt dentilles on the inside edges of both boards. Slight professional repairs to the spine ends and corners. All edges gilt. PAGES AND PLATES ARE CLEAN WITH NO FOXING OR BROWNING. THRE IS SLIGHT OFFSETTING FROM THE PLATES.
