Bookplate on the front inside cover is from the "York Collegiate Institute". Archival tape repairs to the back of the excellent, large folding map of Commander Cameron's brave trek from Benguella on the West coast, north and east to Lake Tanganyika, and then east to the coast north of Dar es Salaam, across from Zanzibar, his route shown in red. Contemporary pictorial red cloth, with an outline of Africa in gilt on the front cover. Nicely rebacked, but the red cloth has blotches and stains, not at all pretty. But the internal condition makes this an excellent buy of a scarce book on Africa exploration.
